Game of Thrones Fan Film “The Wild Wolf”

GoT – I was pleased to come across this short (16:05) fan film, “The Wild Wolf”, set in the Game of Thrones universe. The story takes place several years prior to what we have seen in the HBO series. The synopsis:

The short takes place around 15 years before the first episode of Game of Thrones and is based around the events prior to Robert’s Rebellion.

“Brandon Stark, Ned Stark’s older brother and heir to Winterfell, has been betrothed to Catelyn Tully in an effort to unify the houses Stark and Tully. A young Petyr Baelish, living as a ward at Riverrun under the care of House Tully, has challenged Brandon to a duel for the Lady Catelyn’s hand in marriage. Brandon is answering the challenge to put young Littlefinger in his place…”

I thought that this was a well done effort by Wild Wolf Films. The acting was pretty good as was the sets used. This video was published on YouTube in May 2017.

Trailer for “Game of Thrones Season 7”

Trailers , Got – Game of Thrones will be coming back to HBO on July 16. I am really looking forward to seeing it, yet it just brings me that much closer to the end. Seven episodes for this season and probably only six for season 8. That does not seem like enough time to wrap up this saga. Nor do I want it to end so soon.

Not much is really revealed in this trailer other than there will be battle scenes. It is impressive how this Fantasy story has become such a huge hit. Perhaps when the TV series is finally over, George R. R. Martin will finally finish the book series. I have read and thoroughly enjoyed the first five novels in the series. He has a sixth underway and a planned seventh.

He has proven to be such an incredibly slow writer that I have no plans to read any further books in the series until he has finished it. Book five was published in 2011 and there are no publication dates yet for the next two volumes.

Trailer for “Game of Thrones: Season 7”

Trailer , GoT – A trailer is out for the next season of “Game of Thrones” and it is titled “Long Walk”. Season 7 begins on July 16. Glimpses of the three main characters, Cersei Lannister, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, are shown walking through their domains in the trailer.

Not much is really revealed in this short (1:32) video. My wife and I avidly await this coming season. It is hard to believe that just over a dozen episodes remain in the series. There are so many plot threads that have yet to be wrapped up and explained.

Teaser for “Game of Thrones” Season 7

GoT – Well, sadly this video does not show anything about the season that will start July 16.

This will be the next to last season for the popular HBO series. I will be sorry to see the story end. I hope that George R. R. Martin finishes writing the series of book upon which the HBO series is based. Sadly the fifth book in the series “A Dance with Dragons” was published back in 2011.

I can’t wait for season 7 to begin, but at the same time it is sad to know that only a dozen or so episodes of the story remain to be seen.

GoT Season 6 is a Wrap

Unknown

GoT – Well Season 6 of Game of Thrones is over, and it ended with a literal ‘Bang’. I read all of the books Martin has published so far and of course I have watched all six seasons on HBO. I have thoroughly enjoyed both.

I came across the article “Relive All 59 ‘Game Of Thrones’ Episodes Through HBO’s Badass Posters” today that includes a poster developed for each of the episodes up to this season’s finale. I liked several of these and may try to print a few for my office wall. I thought that many of you would also be interested.

The Wait is Almost Over

GoT – Game of Thrones season 6 begins in less than two weeks (April 24, 2016). A trailer has been released that gives a hint of what we will see this season.

I have watched the previous five seasons and read all of the books. Now with this season the story will branch out beyond those books (While I thoroughly enjoyed the books, I have  decided NOT to read any more of them . . IF they are ever published . . . until George Martin finishes the series. He is just far too slow of a writer.)

Looking forward to April 24th!! My DVR is already set to record this season.
