(See my other WWII related posts) – The song “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree (with Anyone Else but Me)” was made famous by the Glenn Miller Band and the Andrew Sisters during WWII. It was so popular that it remained in Your Hit Parade‘s first place from October 1942 through January 1943. It was the longest period for a war song to hold first place. It was released by them in 1942.
