macOS New App Release – AutoMounter 1.4

Product Announcement – Pixeleyes Ltd. of Wellington, New Zealand has released AutoMounter 1.4, an important update to their sleek and powerful menu item designed to automatically mount your network shares on OS X. AutoMounter will ensure that your NAS shares are always mounted on your Desktop when you need them. AutoMounter can automatically wake your NAS using Wake-On-LAN. You can also choose to only mount shares when connected to a specific WiFi access point. AutoMounter can also easily configure your NAS with in-built service discovery.

AutoMounter 1.4 Enhancements:

  • Added Bonjour integration for AFP / SMB shares
  • Performance enhancements when mounting many shares at once
  • Enhancements to the server discovery feature
  • You can now manually enter a MAC address for Wake On LAN
  • Added help tooltips to enhance the user experience
  • Squished a few bugs, including a rare crash

Version 1.4 adds Bonjour integration, which tightly integrates Bonjour enabled SMB/AFP shares with Finder. We’ve enhanced the performance of mounting many shares at once, and we’ve squished a few bugs. This release also updates the user interface to provide an even better experience.

AutoMounter is designed to run on macOS 10.11 or higher, and is available in 8 different languages (English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish).
