Review of “The Yemen Contract”

“The Yemen Contract” eBook was published in 2016 and was written by Arthur Kerns ( This is Mr. Kerns third novel and the third in his “Hayden Stone Thriller” series.

I received a galley of this novel for review through I categorize this novel as ‘PG’ because it contains scenes of Violence. Most of the story is set in Yemen. the primary character is Hayden Stone, a former CIA employee, and now contracting with them when needed.

Terrorist Abdul Wahab is both seeking power as well as the death of Stone. Wahab sets one trap after another for Stone, often using Stones friends as bait. Stone seems to always maneuver his way free, though not without serious injury.

Western Intelligence thinks that Wahab has been turned, but his efforts are far from helpful. Stone and Wahab tangle time an again.

This was a good read of just over 7 hours for the 242 page novel. This wasn’t the best Thriller, but I did enjoy it. Unlike some, it kept most of the action believable. While this was the third novel in the series, it read well on its own. I give this novel a 4.4 (rounded down to a 4) out of 5.
