Independence Day 2016

Unknown-1

Today we in the US celebrate Independence Day, a day to commemorate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, by the Continental Congress.

In the the 240 years since then, our country has grown, welcoming those of many nationalities from around the world. So too have many men and women died during that period to keep the United States free.

As we celebrate this holiday today with picnics and fireworks, let us all take a moment to thank those who have sacrificed to preserve the US.
