I have heard about a lot of uses of robots, but when I read today’s “Now I Know” column I discovered a new use. In “Robo Rooters” Dan Lewis describes how a poorly performing Korean baseball team, the Hanwha Eagles, have been filling some of the many empty seats in their stadium with robots.
Fans can now virtually attend the game and gesture at umpires using their smart phones.
Interesting! I find that Dan Lewis covers some very unusual and interesting topics in his daily column. It is one of the emails I look forward to getting each day.
