Remote Attack on Siri Possible

Unknown

A friend at CapMac just alerted me to an article in Wired (“Hackers Can Silently Control Siri From 16 Feet Away“). While this vulnerability is just a laboratory demonstration (for now as far as it is known) it is something to keep in mind. The chance finding your device under attack through this vector is probably small, but you can take some action to close it off.

To prevent a remote attack through Siri the best course of action is to disable Siri from “listening” when your device is in Lock-Screen mode.
